Elementary School Programs

Safe Kids is a child abuse prevention education program designed for kindergarten to 5th-grade children.

Safe Kids meets the State of Oregon requirement for Erin’s Law.* The curriculum uses an interactive presentation that includes videos, discussion, skills practice, games, and activities to share information with students. Topics covered include bullying, cyberbullying, and five safety rules that empower kids to respond appropriately to varying forms of abuse.

Starting at Kindergarten, students are introduced to age-appropriate information on the previously mentioned topics and the curriculum is built upon with each subsequent grade. The curriculum is taught in two 45-minute sessions typically in Elementary school classrooms.

We report any disclosures of abuse or neglect to the Oregon Department of Human Services or law enforcement.

Upon request, adult workshops are also offered to school personnel, parents, or community groups.
