Each spring, Juliette’s House Child Abuse Intervention Center hosts one of its most meaningful and memorable events of the year: Celebrate the Children. Far more than a dinner and auction, this annual gathering brings together community members, businesses, advocates, and families to stand united against child abuse and in support of healing.
At its core, Celebrate the Children is a celebration of resilience; the strength of children who have survived trauma, the dedication of professionals who work tirelessly to intervene and protect, and the compassion of a community that believes every child deserves safety, healing, and hope. The evening features powerful stories, moving testimonials, and an opportunity for attendees to directly invest in services that save lives and build brighter futures.
Funds raised through this event support the no-cost services Juliette’s House provides to children and families in crisis across Yamhill County. From forensic interviews and medical assessments to trauma recovery therapy and prevention education, every dollar helps safeguard vulnerable children and offer families a path toward healing.
But Celebrate the Children is about more than fundraising—it's about fostering a culture of awareness, responsibility, and action. When individuals and local businesses participate, they help dismantle the silence and stigma that often surround child abuse. By showing up, giving generously, and engaging in open dialogue, attendees reinforce a powerful message: our community protects its children.
Child abuse prevention cannot happen in isolation. It takes an entire community working together—educators, healthcare professionals, law enforcement, nonprofits, neighbors, and families. Events like Celebrate the Children serve as a crucial reminder that everyone has a role to play.
Participating in local causes like this does more than raise funds, it builds networks of care, inspires advocacy, and reinforces that protecting children is a shared moral responsibility. It empowers everyday citizens to become champions for prevention, whether by volunteering, spreading awareness, or supporting the services that intervene when children are most in need.
In attending Celebrate the Children, you're not just attending an event. You're standing with children who deserve safety. You're supporting the frontline professionals who guide them toward healing. And you're making our community stronger, safer, and more compassionate for generations to come.
